Email Formatting

Email Body

Use the existing formatting options available within Airtable (they have a user-friendly editor).
Please make sure to wrap your merge field variables in the "code" option, or else the variable will not be replaced.

This will turn into a merge field:
Hi {{#######__primary_contact__name__first_name}} ,

This will not:
Hi {{#######__primary_contact__name__first_name}},

You can do a single line break (typically used after your sign-off by adding a
)
Double spacing makes a normal paragraph line break.

This is what you will do in most cases.

Thanks!
Alex (this is what you do when you want a single line break)

There is currently a bug where you cannot format any text directly above an organized/unorganized list:
If you are using an organized or unorganized list, you cannot have any bolding/italics/formatting in the sentence beforehand.

For example you can't do bold or italics or `merge fields` on this line:
1. First item (you can use bold/italics within line items though)
2. Second item

Email Signature

Email signature must be written in markdown formatting (even for spacing out the email signature).
For example, a line break requires 2 vertical spaces (double enter).

Supported Markdown Formats:
**bold**
_italic_
[Link Text](https://linkURL.com)
* Unorganized List Item
1. Organized List Item
2. Another List Item
> Quote
~~Strikethrough~~
# Header 1
## Header 2
### Header 3

Sending Delay Recommendations

Upon moving an opportunity to a stage, there will be an optional delay then send — if you choose to also auto-move the stage after sending, we do not delay after the email is sent (before moving to the next stage), only before it is sent.
You can accomplish the "delay after send" example by having a longer delay then send to the future stage, for example:
e.g. Stage 1 (Delay 5 minutes then send and auto-move to stage 2, stage 2 then delay for 3 days before sending the email).
We recommend having at least a 5 minute delay before sending to allow you to move back an opportunity or to checkmark the "exclude from email sequence" checkbox just in-case of an accidental move.

General Limitations

We cannot currently track if a customer replies to an email sent (for privacy and security reasons)
We support open tracking (first email open) and link click tracking (first link clicked) if on the "Complete Package" tier.
